Olympic USA Softball Pitcher
Jennie's Dad and Mentor!
Hello, my name is Alissa Myers, I am the owner/creator of 5 Tool Softball Training. A little background information about me, I attended Pacifica High School and graduated in the class of 2007 at El Toro High School. While attending Pacifica/El Toro High School, I played a total of 4 years while achieving MVP three years in a row and Most Outstanding Pitcher Award. After graduating high school I received a full-ride athletic scholarship for pitching to Patten University. I moved on to use my 17 years of competitive fastpitch softball, multiple years of coaching high school and travel ball, 5 years of private pitching lessons from Doug Finch (Jennie Finch's dad), and my 10+ years of private coaching/personal training to teach the best fundamentals that will make that challenging play and situation look routine. I now pursue to share my successful ways of pitching, batting, and fielding fundamentals that will not only increase speed, accuracy, and ball movement; but most importantly the overall arm health that will help YOU be successful at a competitive level. From personal one on one lessons to group lessons; my technique is designed to pin-point those bad habits that will not only slow down your pitches but hurt your arm in the long run. Lessons will vary from conditioning, to stretching, to intense windup breakdown where every movement is analyzed. My goal is to teach the right way of fastpitch that will make the sport fun but also competitive!! Not everybody learns the same way as I have learned over the years, which is why I approach my players in their own individual way that will best suite them!
Hello, my name is Melissa Myers aka Missy for short. I am one of the partners/coaches of 5 Tool Softball Training. A little history about me and my experiences, I have been playing softball since the age of 4 years old. I played at a varsity level all throughout my 4 years at Katella High School as well as playing travel ball with So Cal Blasters and USA Athletics as an outfielder, first baseman, shortstop, and third baseman. I went on to play at Fullerton College as a second baseman, shortstop, and catcher. I currently enjoy playing in multiple competitive adult slow pitch leagues. I have coached for many years from 8u softball to high school and to private training. I have helped in advancing skills in fundamentals such as throwing, blocking (for catchers), base running, hitting technique, and fielding in appropriate angles for infield and outfield. Softball is truly a passion of mine which is why I want to continue spreading my knowledge to help make each generation better than the next!
